School Training
Train the room, not just the child.
A method is only as good as the building that runs it — so every SensPod comes with a three-month implementation for your whole team. It turns the thinking on this site into something your staff do on a Tuesday, in a full classroom, under real pressure.
Included with every pod
Every school and organisation gets a 3-month implementation.
A pod is never just delivered. Every SensPod comes with three months of hands-on accompaniment: we teach your adults to use the method on the pod exactly as the children do — themselves first, then beside a child. One in-person launch, then a monthly session across the term, each tied to what is actually happening with the pod in your building.
Launch · in person, ~5 hrs
The pod becomes theirs
The whole staff walk the entire “Feelings Are Messages” flow themselves and build their own pod profile — plus the Take the Wheel card game.
Month 1
Notice
Reading the body — behaviour is a body signal, a message, not misbehaviour.
Month 1
Understand
Naming and sizing the feeling — feelings are messages, not mistakes.
Month 2
Choose
Using the senses to regulate — the skill no one ever taught adults. The centrepiece.
Month 2
Reflect
The child within — model your own regulation out loud, and meet the child in front of you.
Month 3
Grow
Sustain, measure, certify — from believer to ForeverMe Ambassador.
The through-line, from day one: the pod is for you too.
Who it's for
Built for the people who hold the room.
Whole staff or a focused team — teachers, education assistants, support staff, SENCOs and leadership. No clinical background is assumed; the training meets people where their timetable actually is.
01
Whole-school PD
A shared language and a shared method across every classroom, in one professional-development day.
02
Support & EA teams
The people delivering 1:1 and small-group support, trained in the specifics of a regulation-first space.
03
Leadership & SENCOs
The case, the evidence and the rollout plan — for the people who have to approve and resource it.
The ideas behind it
The reframes your whole staff comes to share.
Threaded through all three months — the shifts in thinking the sessions are built to create.
Behaviour as communication
The reframe everything else rests on: reading the need under the behaviour, and responding to it before it escalates.
The regulating environment
Light, sound and vision as tools — how the room either winds a nervous system up or lets it settle, and what to change first.
Match, then lead
The iso principle in daily practice: meeting a child's state before trying to move it, at the door, in the corridor, mid-lesson.
Making it stick
Embedding the space into the timetable so it's used before crisis, not after — routines, referral-free access, and staff sustainability.
How it runs
Around your calendar, not ours.
In person
In-school workshop
A half or full PD day, on-site, with your staff and your rooms.
Remote
Live online sessions
The same content over a series of shorter live sessions — easier to fit around teaching.
Sustained
Ongoing coaching
Follow-up sessions once a space is in use, so practice deepens instead of fading.
What changes
What a trained building looks like.
- Staff who can name what's happening before it becomes an incident.
- A calm space that's used as a first response, not a last resort.
- Fewer removals from class, and a clearer path back in after one.
- A shared vocabulary between classroom, support team and home.
- Adults who are given permission — and a place — to reset too.
